Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 42-minute musical performance that carries the special signature of Joss Whedon. It was produced during the strike of the U.S. screenwriters 2008, as a online mini-series event.
Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) plays the title character, who creates a video blog about both of his two goals in life: becoming a member of the evil league of evil and conquering the heart of lovely Penny (Felicia Day actress in Whedon's Buffy - the Vampire Slayer and the web series "The Guild") that he has met in the local laundromat. But Dr. Horrible is hindered in both these projects of his opponent, the narcissistic superhero Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion from Whedon's Firefly).
